Hello! What a great week it's been! Even though I am super tired and feel worn out a lot, I'm getting this surge of energy at work and knocking out things and getting ready for being out! I feel so productive haha.
This weekend was really productive for me as well at home. Sean had a weekend guy's trip to Scottsdale, so I got to sleep in and do things on my time. I generally woke up around 8:00 but crawled out of bed somewhere around 11:00. I even watched church on TV (which I feel so lazy, but I really didn't want to get up yet). Then I ran some errands and got everything done that I needed to on my list. Then for no other reason than that nesting instinct, I cleaned up Mini's room from all of the baby shower gifts and put everything very neatly in its place. The drawers look amazing and I'm so proud of them.. But I haven't washed anything yet, so I'll just have to redo it again. But if you know me, that is actually fun for me. I'm just waiting until we get a little closer to wash her blankets, sheets, clothes, etc. so dust doesn't accumulate. My wonderful mommy will be up here in June to help prepare the house for Mini's arrival, so I'm really looking forward to that.
How far along: Now I'm actually 32+ weeks. We are getting so close! I feel like I maybe have about 6 to go.. I definitely see this baby coming early. Are we ready to take bets???
What I'm craving: I really wanted to get Braum's on Saturday while I was running around, but forgot! I'm super sad about it, so hopefully I can make my way there this weekend. I'm also really craving crepes right now. I had the most delicious one in Seattle, and now that's all I can think about.
How I'm feeling: Still tired. I generally feel pretty good throughout the day and try to just be low key in my office, but towards the end of the day, I start do go downhill and my nights aren't awesome. Mini rolls around A LOT and my stomach is constantly sore. By the time I drive home at night, I'm in some pain, it's hard to breathe, and I just want to lay down as soon as I get home. I feel so bad for Sean, but am so grateful for him. He really is amazing at taking care of me, and taking care of dinner, dishes, and let's me just relax when I come home.
What I bought this week: I bought Mini's bathtub yesterday, and Sean and I are going to start looking at the things we still need. I'm starting to get my completion discounts for my registries, so I'm super excited about seeing what else I need to prepare for her arrival!
What I'm most excited about this week: This week we had #3 of 4 childbirth classes. Each week, I get excited for these classes because it's like a countdown. But then the classes actually happen and I start to get a little terrified about the whole birthing process. Tonight we have another baby class for the basic caring stuff and I'm excited to ask questions. I feel like I'm pretty prepared for a baby and know how to take care of one (I was 13 when Jasmine was born, so I've definitely always been comfortable with a baby). But I have questions like "Since she's a summer baby, should I still put long sleeves on her? What should she sleep in? Can I use anti-colic bottles even if she ends up not being colicky?" I know it'll probably be instinct when she's here, but I am a planner and need to know these things before!
If any of you have had a summer baby, please share your tips in the comments!! I'd love to hear about the little things we don't really ever think about.
Have a great week!
