Happy Easter and hello third trimester!!! Every day is a great day to praise the Lord, but on resurrection day, it's even more special to thank Him for his grace and the life we get to live because he lived, died, and rose again for us. As I think back to the last 2 years and getting to this point, as well as entering the home stretch of my pregnancy, I feel so blessed for all of the things we've gone through and been given and that has led us to this baby girl today. Praise the Lord for He is Risen!
It feels so surreal to be in my third trimester. For so long, all I've wanted was to be pregnant and feel all the feels of pregnancy. To say this little baby inside is a miracle is an understatement. It is incredible to think of how she was created and grows each day. Every time I feel her move, I am filled with so much joy and it makes all of the pain worth it. It's crazy to think this but I feel like I already know what her personality is like. I know that she likes the sound of the piano better than a violin. She digs like a squirrel and plays with my touch. She wakes when I do and gets ready with me in the morning. I even had a dream about her this week and what she looked like. She had tons of dark brown hair and eyelashes for days. And even though I haven't met her yet, I am so incredibly in love.
How far along: Third trimester equals 28 weeks! Mini is over two pounds and 15 inches long. We have less than 3 months to go now!
What I'm craving: I continue to want Nothing Bundt Cakes all of the time. I am definitely wanting sweet and sugary these days.
How I'm feeling: Thankfully my sunburn has gotten much better, although I have a really ugly tan line on my left arm and right leg. My rib spot continues to pain me all day every day, and why didn't anyone tell me your vagina bone hurts all of the time!? It's especially sore when I roll out of bed in the morning, but it's almost comical so it doesn't bother me. I did wake up with a terrible leg cramp last night and thrashed around like a shark. It's funny how quickly I can move around when something like that happens, but most of the time I struggle to stand up and waddle for sure now. But I truly do feel amazing just knowing how much she's growing and that I will soon get to hold her in my arms.
What I bought this week: We got her mattress this week so that was really exciting getting to put it on the bed and finally get the sheets on. I'm looking for a good sleep machine that has a light on it for the nightstand, so I've been researching those this week. It's now between the Hatch Baby Rest and the Project Nursery Smart Light.
What I'm most excited about this week: I'm just excited for each week and the days to pass quickly. We go to Seattle next week and then the next two weeks are baby showers so I'm counting down the days to fun stuff. Oh and we're also doing maternity pictures in a week so I'll be excited to get a mani/pedi to prepare. But the thing I'm most excited for??? Our bathroom is 100% done so now I can take a shower in our new huge shower and sit down on the bench I had them put in!! Yippee!
Happy Easter everyone!
