It sure has been a long week! And a cold one too.. I'm tired of this cold air, bring on the summer heat so I can meet my baby! Well to update you on our fancy dinner, I didn't get my lobster :( Or at least in the way I wanted it. The smallest lobster they had was 3 pounds! And since I can only eat like 6 ounces of crab or lobster, I made the fiscally responsible (and obviously better for my baby) decision to get the lobster bisque soup and the crab mac and cheese. Both were still delicious, and I actually got full after like half of that soup, so even a small lobster probably would have been too much anyway. I guess we'll just have to go to my favorite place, The Capital Grille, and try again!
How far along: 18 weeks this weekend and Mini Mohn is the size of a sweet potato and coming in at 5.5" and 6.5 oz.
What I'm craving: Nothing that I've HAD TO HAVE, but this baby sure does like cheese. I find myself eating much more grilled cheese, mac and cheese, pizza, Parmesan, and stuff like that. Wow.. that is totally embarrassing seeing how it looks actually spelled out. I'm basically a college kid.
How I'm feeling: This week has kind of been a weird one. I guess it may have been my outfit choices, but as soon as I wake up in the morning, I have to make sure my bump is still there. It feels like it hasn't looked as big this week as I thought it did last week. Again, I've been wearing some flowy tops, so that's probably all it is, but it still freaks me out! Except today.... I definitely have a bump and it mostly feels like chub not baby.
We did get a call back from the perinatal doctor that did our genetic testing, and praise God, all came back normal, so I feel especially joyful.
What I bought this week: Can you believe it.... I didn't make one baby purchase this week! Unless stocking up on diapers counts? I did buy some Honest diapers that were like $7 off the pack price. However, Mommy is currently in Korea and her and my uncle (Sam Chon) are going nuts shopping for Mini Mohn. They have sent me pictures of the cutest little outfits that even got Sean saying awww! My mom did have to stop Sam Chon from spending $450 on these little Gucci booties. Thank goodness, because MM would only be able to wear them like twice, and let's face it.. I think I'd rather have the diapers or an extra car seat :)
What I'm most excited about this week: We did pick our nursery paint last weekend and I love it! There are three giant swatches on the walls and every day, I walk in there and look at it. I can't wait to actually paint the walls, but that'll still have to wait until Krystal comes up. This weekend, Sean and I are actually going to be focusing on our master bathroom. We're finally ready to remodel (which is our last major house project), so this weekend will be dedicated to picking fixtures, buying tile, a new tub, and getting everything ready for the contractor. I really wish HGTV would do a Flip or Flop show in Dallas featuring me and Sean. We'd be so good at it and I think people would totally love our design taste. Plus, we're really good and finding stuff for very low cost and I think it'd be fun to show people that.
Well in two weeks, we find out for certain if MM is a boy or girl! So next week will be just a bumpdate and the week after will be our big reveal! I'm so excited, I can't stand it. Even though I've been buying stuff and adding things to my registry, we still haven't totally committed to anything yet and I'm so ready! Stay tuned and have a lovely weekend loveys!
