Happy Friday everyone! Last week I did my first Five on Friday, and I was all set to give you all another dose today. But this week, I received a package that I just wanted to share with you instead.
It was Wednesday afternoon when I looked in my mailbox at work and found a large envelope with my name written in beautiful gold calligraphy. It wasn't something that I would usually get in the office, so I was very intrigued. When I opened the package, it contained a beautiful piece of artwork with a bible verse that spoke directly to me. It was accompanied by a note from a former colleague who had read the blog and wanted to reach out. I was so incredibly touched.
She gave me encouragement and insight, and also made me feel like my story would be out there to help others and I was very grateful for that. Luke 1:37 says "For no word from God will ever fail." When I had the miscarriage, I heard God's voice so loudly saying "See Summer, you have gotten pregnant, so please do not worry anymore. I've got you." Oddly enough (TMI), this same day, I had my first period since the surgery. And as crazy as this sounds, I was so excited to get it. I feel healthy and one step closer to that beautiful baby God has promised me. I will keep this verse on my desk as a daily reminder of God's faithfulness. Hopefully I will have that little girl someday and will get to frame this for her walls. :)
Have a wonderful long weekend everyone! Love to you all! XOXO, Summer
